Vote Keith Ellison for Attorney General
As a former corporate lawyer, I know how much the Attorney General can do to improve the lives of working people, families, seniors and the most vulnerable members of our society. Knowing the potential of the Attorney Generals office to do good for Minnesotans, I am excited to support Keith Ellison for Attorney General.
For over a decade in Congress, Keith has been a fierce advocate for Minnesota consumers, workers and families. Before entering politics, he spent 16 years as a civil rights and public defense attorney, including five years as Executive Director of the Legal Rights Center where Keith oversaw a team of attorneys focused on delivering justice for Minnesotans who had nowhere else to turn.
Keith has the experience to use the Attorney Generals office to protect the rights of all Minnesotans. Keith will defend Minnesotans against Republican efforts to overturn the Affordable Care Act and strip coverage from people with preexisting conditions. Keith has also promised to create a task force to tackle the rapidly rising cost of prescription drugs.
The same cannot be said of Keiths Republican opponent, Doug Wardlow, who supports efforts to remove health care protections from more than 2.3 million Minnesotans with preexisting conditions. While Keith wants to take on prescription drug companies, Doug wont even commit to holding them accountable for their role in the opioid crisis. Wardlow has made clear he would put corporate profits and special interests ahead of everyday Minnesotans.
With so much at stake this November, we need an Attorney General who will work for the people of Minnesota. As an experienced trial lawyer and champion for Minnesota consumers, Keith will fight for more affordable healthcare, an economy that works better for workers, and for greater opportunities and equal rights for all. I urge you to join me in voting for Keith Ellison by November 6th.
