MEN'S BASKETBALL: Beavers add two transfers to 2018-19 roster
BEMIDJI -- Bemidji State men’s basketball head coach Mike Boschee announced Thursday that two additional transfers will join the program beginning with the 2018-19 season. Allen Anderson from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Neb., and Logan Longo from Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colo., will join the Beavers as junior guards.
Allen Anderson, a 5-foot-10-inch guard from Brooklyn Park, was a three-time Region XI All-Academic Second Team selection at Northeast CC. He averaged 12.6 points, 3.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game for the Hawks during the 2017-18 season. He was named to the All-Northwest Suburban Conference during his senior season at Osseo High School, averaging 11.1 points and 6.6 assists per game. Anderson helped the Orioles to a 30-2 record and a trip to the Minnesota State Tournament.
Logan Longo, a 6-2 guard from Aurora, Colo., was a part of two 20-win seasons at Lamar CC. During his final year, he averaged 9.0 points per game and led the Lopes in long-range shooting with 75 3-point field goals and a .441 3-point field goal percentage, with a .442 overall field goal percentage. Longo played his prep career at Grandview High School and finished as an all-conference honoree with 12.0 points per game during his senior season.
