BSU hockey programs meet APR standards
BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji State men’s and women’s ice hockey teams have again met the Academic Progress Rate standards set by the NCAA when the most recent reports were released Wednesday. The scores provide performance benchmarks for all Division I programs under the NCAA’s standards for academic progress and performance, beginning with data from 2013-14 and extending through the 2016-17 academic year.
The Beaver men’s hockey team recorded a multi-year score of 990 in 2016-17, which matched Ferris State and Alabama-Huntsville for the best marks in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while the BSU women’s team earned 992 in the most recent report to rank second among its league counterparts.
Both BSU programs have met the NCAA requirements since the APR program began in 2003 and began reporting scores in 2005-06.
